ORA-Sweet® is a syrup vehicle used to simplify the process of flavoring and sweetening compounding oral preparations.
Properties: ORA-Sweet® contains sucrose (sweetening agent, glycerin and sorbitol (to prevent “cap lock”), and citrus-berry blend of flavoring agents. ORA-Sweet® is buffered to a slightly acidic pH to help diminish degradation of medicinal agents through oxidation.
Applications: ORA-Sweet® may be used alone or in combination with other agents. It retains its flavoring properties when diluted up to 50% with water or suspending agents. Its versatility makes it ideal for pediatric and geriatric suspensions.
How to Use: ORA-Sweet® can be used in a combination with any suspending vehicle, but is specially formulated to complement ORA-Plus® suspending vehicle; combined in a 50/50 ratio.
